Your role as a volunteer will be key in helping us showcase the rich cultural diversity and traditions of Sri Lanka to a broad audience.

I, understand and agree to the below mentioned terms and conditions when appearing at the Lankan Fest as a Volunteer.

Lankan Fest 2024 Volunteer Guidelines 1. Volunteer Assignments: Volunteers will be assigned specific roles either before, on the day of the event, or post-event, depending on availability and in consultation with the LANKAN FEST Coordinators. Any changes to assignments will be communicated in advance. 2. Volunteer Schedule: on the day schedules will be provided prior to the event day. However, please note that your schedule may be subject to change based on the needs of LANKAN FEST, and you will be informed promptly of any alterations. 3. Equipment and Supplies: LANKAN FEST will supply the basic materials needed for your tasks. If any additional tools or equipment are required, please notify us in advance or bring them yourself where possible. 4. Absence Notification: If you are unable to attend your scheduled shift, please inform the LANKAN FEST Coordinator at least 48 hours in advance, so that alternative arrangements can be made. 5. Provisions: Volunteers will receive a complimentary snack bag and water. Additionally, all volunteers will be awarded a certificate to acknowledge and appreciate their contributions to the event. 6. Dress Code: Volunteers are expected to wear neat, clean, and appropriate attire. If possible, Lankan Fest will provide a branded T-shirt for you to wear during the event. Please adhere to any specific dress code relevant to your role. 7. Behaviour and Conduct: LANKAN FEST enforces a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of schedule abuse, aggressive behaviour, or misconduct. Any such actions may lead to immediate dismissal from your volunteer duties. 8. Compliance: Failure to adhere to any part of these guidelines may result in the termination of your volunteer position with LANKAN FEST. 9. Liability: Volunteers acknowledge that LANKAN FEST is not liable for any claims or losses in connection with: o Theft or damage to personal belongings or equipment; o Inability to perform assigned tasks; o Travel to or from the event; o Any damage or injury to property or persons during the event, except in cases of negligence by LANKAN FEST Coordinators. 10. Use of Photographs and Videos: Lankan Fest Inc. reserves the right to use any photographs or videos taken during Lankan Fest 2024 without the expressed written consent of those depicted. These may be used for marketing purposes, including brochures, websites, social media, television, and other media materials produced by or for Lankan Fest Inc.
